About the Artist
Art for Art's Sake
I started my journey as a fledgling artist after I retired from a career in education and was looking for a hobby. My father was an artist who always encouraged his daughters to follow our own path. Little did he know I would follow his later in life. I began working with fluid art, and then branched out to the mixed media niche of collage. And this is when I recognized that I was tapping into my intuition of creating art without a plan, without judgement, and without the limitations of a process. I am comfortable coloring outside the lines. Spontaneity is my life blood. My art reflects my travels and life in New Orleans and you can see nuggets of the city throughout. What started out as hobby has become my passion.
